JCHD can't train you to your maximum potential if you don't fuel your body properly.  Odds are that you don't eat anywhere near enough protein and you are completely unaware of that fact.  If you have been working out on a proper program and been strength training for months and seen no increase or decrease in weight depending on your goals, it is a direct correlation to your eating habits.  When a coach tells you to gain weight before next season, he is telling you that you need to change in order to have more success next season.  It's your wake up call! However, if you keep doing the same thing you are doing, you won't change.

Working out and training is only 1/2 of the equation.  If you train hard, don't you want to make sure that your recovery and refueling process is exactly what your body needs to fuel all that hard work and sacrifice you have been doing?  It may be cliche to say but as an elite athlete your body is your vehicle - you need to develop into and treat yourself like an F1 Race Car where everyday you train and tweak your car to make it faster, quicker, and more aerodynamic.  Do you think the Formula 1 team refuels it with whatever fuel they want in the moment and however much fuel they want so that one day it's unleaded 87, the next day diesel, the next day premium 91, and the next day jet fuel? You fuel an F1 Race Car with a properly calculated and formulated blend specific to that car to ensure it operates at it's optimum performance level.  If you are an elite athlete or an inspiring elite athlete, you better do the same!

Many NCAA athletes have these resources handed to them and most certainly professional athletes do.  If you are waiting to change until you get to the NCAA or professional level, then you won't make it unless you have an extremely gifted and rare genetic code.  Failure to comply is a failure to be an elite athlete.  So in order for you to attain your dreams, you best become what your dreams require of you today.

JCHD's nutrition and sleep tracking resources are designed to partner with you in the process of performing at your highest level.  It's the yin to the yang of the hard strength and speed, agility, quickness, and explosiveness training you are doing.  Failure to properly refuel your body from all the hard training is a failure to deliver what your muscles require, therefore you are holding yourself back from the muscular gains you desire.  Nutrition is a major 1/2 part of the strength and agility equation.
